Near Wild Heaven

Landscape and the outdoors is a reoccurring theme in my work over the last few years. I am often drawn to the idea of being small in a big world as well as a sense of fragility. I like the idea of the viewer's personal narrative that is constructed when viewing the image. I wanted to create a sense of space, emptiness but also the feeling of being able to go and explore and discover.

This print is based on a memory of a ferry ride I once took off the coast from Hiroshima in Japan.

Near Wild Heaven is a five colour screen print of an original illustration that I have produced. It is printed onto 250gsm Fabriano Unica 50% Cotton cream paper.
