On the Road to Find Out

£148.00

Landscape and the outdoors is a reoccurring theme in my work over the last few years. I am often drawn to the idea of being small in a big world as well as a sense of fragility. I like the idea of the viewer's personal narrative that is constructed when viewing the image. I wanted to create a sense of space, emptiness but also the feeling of being able to go and explore and discover. This print was a mixture of influences from the paintings of Mark Rothko and the music of Cat Stevens When I was growing up the music of Cat Stevens was a great influence on my own musical tastes as I got older, I decided to name this print after his song 'On the Road to Find Out' from his album Tea for the Tillerman. I like the idea of life being a journey and the discoveries that you make along the way. I find it also encourage some now to worry too much about the past or the future....I sometimes manage that even!

'On the Road to Find Out' is a six colour screen print of an original illustration that I have produced. It is printed onto 250gsm Fabriano Unica 50% Cotton cream paper. The size of the print is approximately 30 by 42 cm with the paper size being 34 by 45cm. (17.7 * 13.4 inches) The print would fit a frame with an A3 sized mount.

Edition of 20.

The print has been hand printed by myself and is sold unframed and is shipped in a sturdy postal tube. Frame and mount not included.
